Boston Celtics TPE target No. 2) Kyle Anderson

Kyle Anderson has been viewed by the masses as being the ideal target for the Boston Celtics to use their TPE on and, frankly, it’s rather easy to see why as the franchise still finds itself in need of a legitimate option at the four, competent floor spacers, and tertiary playmakers who can create for both themselves as well as for others.

The seventh-year veteran would seemingly check off all of these aforementioned boxes.

A player that has been rumored to be on the C’s radar for quite some time now, the 28-year-old finds himself coming off of a career year in 2020-21, as he finished the season boasting averages of 12.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and just shy of a block per game on 47 percent shooting from the floor and 36 percent shooting from deep.

Though the forward undoubtedly served as a key cog for the playoff-bound Memphis Grizzlies last year, the franchise finds itself rostering several other players at the same position who likely are viewed as more valuable for their rebuild efforts thanks, in large, to their younger age and, for most of them at least, high draft status.

Bringing on the likes of Kyle Anderson would allow both the Jays to slide back up to their natural positions — for Brown the two; for Tatum the three — while also giving them a dependable two-way presence who can knock down open shots and set them up for cleaner looks for a bucket.
