Low-key great Boston Celtics target No. 2) Terrence Ross

A few weeks back we discussed the concept of Terrence Ross being a potential TPE target to pursue this year for the Boston Celtics and, frankly, the more we think about it the more we love the idea of seeing him come aboard.

Being that they have proven to be one of the worst second-unit scoring teams in the entire league over the past couple of seasons (finished 29th in points per game in 2019-20 and 28th in 2020-21), bolstering their bench with quality talents in this aspect of the game should be viewed as a top priority moving forward.

Though they did manage to snag the likes of Dennis Schroder this summer to add some needed offensive bolstering off the pine and hope to see improvements from Aaron Nesmith in this area as well, we believe it could be in their best interest to continue looking for ways to bring aboard more scoring threats.

Ross would easily be able to serve as this guy.

While predominantly serving as a spark plug scoring punch off the pine, since 2018 Ross has boasted impressive averages of 15.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 41.6 percent from the floor and 36 percent shooting from deep.

A player who can buy a bucket from seemingly anywhere on the court while also being able to jam it home on fast-break lobs with his impressive athleticism, Terrance Ross could be a fantastic add for the Boston Celtics to have come off their bench to backup Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
