Area of improvement for Romeo Langford No. 2) Shooting

Romeo Langford is going to have to re-learn how to shoot this summer.

With the Boston Celtics, he has shot horribly in the few minutes he’s gotten and it’s hurt the team’s spacing so badly that he can’t be played in important games.

In the 50 games Langford has played for the Celtics, he has shot 22.2% from deep. Defenses have laughed at the Celtics when they kick out to him, knowing him shooting is a win for them.

Langford has to change his shooting production this summer to stay on the team past the deadline. He will likely be the team’s second or third wing off the bench and must provide some spacing while he is there, or the Celtics will be forced to trade him for someone who can.

With all the injuries he has sustained to his hands and wrists, improving his shooting will be an uphill battle, but it’s one he will have to suffer through.

Improving his shooting would keep him on the floor and compliment his other skill sets. If he becomes a respectable 3-point shooter, he can start driving closeouts and using his athleticism to get to where he’s most comfortable.

The game will slow down exponentially and Langford will become the player many Boston Celtics fans thought he would be from day one.
