As a whole, through 54 games played the 2020-21 campaign has been an unbelievable disappointment for the Boston Celtics, and there’s no other way about it. That said, over the past 10 outings, it appears as though there’s still hope for the team during this final month of action.

Since March 26th, the Cs have won eight of their 11 games, five of which were attained over the last 10 days.

In response to the media’s persistent slander, Boston’s star wing duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have managed to put the team on their back as of late, posting combined averages of 52 points per game over the past six outings.

With them in tow, we know that the shamrocks will always have a chance of pulling out a win, and the team’s current winning streak is indicative of the tremendous impact they have on a game

However, if the Celtics wish to prove this current streak is more than just a mere mirage and, in fact, a sign of what’s to come throughout this final 18 game stretch, they’ll need 3 players, in specific, to play a big role within the rotation:

Boston Celtics player No. 1) Romeo Langford

Since Romeo Langford made his first appearance of the 2020-21 season a little over a week ago, the Boston Celtics have lost just once.

A coincidence? Almost definitely!

Still, this is not to say that he can’t play a pivotal role during this final stretch run to the season.

Not having played since September of 2020, the sophomore comes into the year having seven months of rest and recovery under his belt after undergoing wrist surgery during last year’s postseason where, if you can remember, he was proving to be an impactful two-way player for the ball club, specifically in regard to his hustle.

So far, through five games played this year, Langford has showcased similar energy and high-end defensive chops that he presented last year, all while showing a bit of an improvement in his shot creation and shooting efficiency, though, granted, in a small sample size.

In 14.2 minutes on average thus far, the 21-year-old is putting up 3.6 points and 2.6 rebounds on 43 percent shooting from deep.

With lacking depth behind the likes of the Jays, a healthy Langford could prove to be quite beneficial when it comes to giving the aforementioned stars ample rest.

This team will go as far as Tatum and Brown allow them and, with solid play from Langford, the two wings could cultivate more time sitting on the bench, preserving themselves for the playoffs.
