Boston Celtics trade No. 2) A multi-team deal with Washington

The Washington Wizards are seemingly a team on the brink of implosion after a rough 3-8 start to the season. With their head coach on an incredibly hot seat coupled with the chatter that star Bradley Beal could find himself looking for an out from the franchise, we could easily see a full-out firesale in our nation’s capital at some point soon.

Should this happen, perhaps one of the most intriguing assets that could become available is fifth-year power forward Davis Bertans.

Recently, we discussed how the 28-year-old could be a quality TPE target for the Boston Celtics to consider but, frankly, could really be a sound addition to any roster looking to contend and, thus, we see him heading to the Nets in this proposed deal.

A 40 percent 3-point shooter, the 6-10 Bertans could serve as a much-needed addition in Brooklyn’s frontcourt to help better space the floor and give them a little more depth down low.

Through 11 games played in 2020-21, the four is performing well, averaging 11.8 points on 36 percent shooting from deep.

Should the Wizards ship off the veteran big, it would likely be in exchange for assets that will help them rebuild for the future.

In this scenario, we see Boston part ways with a future first-rounder and, painfully, Tremont Waters who, though a fan favorite, has somewhat fallen by the wayside with the emergence of rookie Payton Pritchard.
