What to key in on No. 4) Robert Williams III

Like every new season since his arrival, Boston Celtics fans are coming into the 2020-21 campaign hoping that Robert Williams III puts all his potential together and becomes the type of player many hope he can be — the C’s answer at the pivot.

As we mentioned earlier, Tristan Thompson is currently questionable for the C’s season opener on December 23rd as he continues to recover from his nagging hamstring injury.

Because of this fact, we already assumed that Timelord would receive extended play should their newly acquired center miss time.

However, now with word circulating that Daniel Theis could also be sidelined for the preseason opener due to recovery from his offseason knee procedure, Williams could be in line for big minutes tonight which, after his own injury woes from last season, could prove to be something worth watching for fans.

Last we saw Williams, during the postseason, the center finally started to resemble the player we all hope he can turn into. When he was bestowed 15 or more minutes a night during Boston’s impressive Eastern Conference Finals run, the 23-year-old saw averages of 7.8 points, five boards, and just shy of a block on an earth-shattering 93.8 percent shooting from the floor.

Likely to notch more than this aforementioned timeshare, let’s see if he can replicate this impressive level of play.
