The Boston Celtics should consider bringing back a few former shamrocks via free agency this offseason.

With free agency only a short ways away, the decision-makers for the Boston Celtics are likely already game-planning in advance as to what paths they would like to take this offseason.

Being that the franchise will have little wiggle room in regard to cap space, as they have numerous players on the books cultivating large paydays — including Jayson Tatum‘s probable extension this offseason –, should they even try to pursue any talents available on the open market, the C’s front office will need to choose their players wisely.

Luckily, the team won’t be short of interested individuals, as they are seen as an attractive landing spot for players willing to sign for the league’s mid-level exception and veteran minimum contracts, which are essentially all that Boston can afford.

Given the fact that they were a mere two games away from the NBA Finals this past season, it’s not a shock to believe that players looking to contribute for a contender could view Beantown as a sound destination.

During this upcoming free agency period, there will be a plethora of underrated players that could be had on relatively cheap deals. Of these said underrated players, there are many who have even donned the green and white threads at one point throughout their respective careers.
