Coming into this year’s offseason the Boston Celtics could have their eyes set on a few talents they believe could help them “win now.”
Despite winning 48 games, attaining the fifth-seed in the entire NBA, and advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the third time in four seasons, the Boston Celtics proved that they are so close and yet so far from winning their 18th league championship.
The reasoning behind this fact can come back to many different factors: injury-woes, lackadaisical center talent, porous offensive production off the pine, etc. While the physical ailments are not areas that can actually be addressed via something as simple as player additions, the latter two talking points certainly can.
Over the past several months, we have discussed many ways in which the shamrocks could go about bolstering their roster in an effort to better position themselves for a run at glory moving forward. Now, with the Los Angeles Lakers tying Beantown’s record for most titles in NBA history, many are already charting out paths in which they could take to reach banner No. 18 before LeBron James and co. have a chance.
