Boston Celtics: 3 win-now players Cs should target this offseason

Coming into this year’s offseason the Boston Celtics could have their eyes set on a few talents they believe could help them “win now.”

Despite winning 48 games, attaining the fifth-seed in the entire NBA, and advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the third time in four seasons, the Boston Celtics proved that they are so close and yet so far from winning their 18th league championship.

The reasoning behind this fact can come back to many different factors: injury-woes, lackadaisical center talent, porous offensive production off the pine, etc. While the physical ailments are not areas that can actually be addressed via something as simple as player additions, the latter two talking points certainly can.

Over the past several months, we have discussed many ways in which the shamrocks could go about bolstering their roster in an effort to better position themselves for a run at glory moving forward. From draft prospects to free-agent targets, we here at HH have simply discussed all routes in which they could take to add more talent to their rotation.

Now, with the Los Angeles Lakers tying Beantown’s record for most titles in NBA history, many are already charting out paths in which they could take to reach banner No. 18 before LeBron James and co. have a chance.

Should the Cs want to embark on this journey for results to be found as soon as the 2021 campaign, they’ll likely want to bring on more firepower to their arsenal. If they wish to accomplish this in one fell swoop, there are three specific targets we believe could help them in this hypothetical “win now” approach:
