Boston Celtics key to victory No. 3) Kemba Walker needs to start out hot

Looking back on Tuesday’s game two box score, it would appear that Kemba Walker was one of the more consistent and key performers on the night — after all, he did finish with 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, and the game-winning dagger that had Boston Celtics fans and the Twitter-verse going wild.

However, a majority of the All-Star’s handy work came in the second half of the contest, as he finished the first two quarters with just two points on zero for eight shooting from the field.

Because of his strugglers, entering the break Boston found themselves up by just two, whilst fans were left with the dreadful feeling that points were certainly left on the board. As a result, the final two-quarters were far more challenging than they needed to be.

Frankly, had it not been for Marcus Smarts’ fourth-quarter heroics, we easily could have been looking at a 1-1 series split heading into tonight’s festivities.

Similar to our first slide discussing how the luck will run out should they not fix their turnover issues, should Walker have a putrid first-half like the one he did Tuesday, we might not see the magical second-half we saw in game-two to make up for the lackadaisical start.
