Trade target No. 1) Myles Turner

First up on the docket we have a player who we’ve discussed potentially coming to the Boston Celtics for quite some time in Myles Turner. Currently finding himself amongst the many other remaining players in the Disney bubble, Turner’s Pacers have their work cut out for them as they progress throughout the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign and into the offseason.

One of the biggest storylines of late has pertained to Indiana’s All-Star Victor Oladipo and his future with the franchise past this season, with many believing a trade could be on the horizon. Should this happen, and the Pacers opt to ship out Oladipo, they would indefinitely start to build around their second All-Star Domantas Sabonis by bringing in players to mesh better alongside him.

One player in particular who could be shopped for talents that would better fit alongside Sabonis’ game would be Turner. Despite his solid play over his young five-year career, the center has oft found his name within the league’s rumor mill and, should they opt to ship off their All-Star shooting guard, we believe a trade involving the 24-year-old could follow, especially if it brought in better complementary pieces to pair with their franchise big.

On the year, Turner finds himself boasting solid averages of 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game on 45 percent shooting from the floor and 34 percent shooting from deep.

On a team flush with young big man talent — Sabonis and 2019 first-round pick Goga Bitadzi — Turner appears to be quite expendable. Should this happen, it should be seen as a no brainer that the Boston Celtics should chase him.

Verdict: Pursue
