Player who could receive more minutes No. 1) Brad Wanamaker

Easily one of the biggest factors in how far the Boston Celtics will end up going during the postseason this year will be the play of Kemba Walker. While the past few months off have given the All-Star point guard time to recover from his nagging knee ailment, until the Disney bubble games officially start, the team will continue to proceed with caution.

This was recently made evident by the fact that the Cs reportedly held out Walker from their first ‘hard practice’ this past weekend. In all likelihood, Boston’s plan to ease the point guard back into the swing of things could linger on until the start of the playoffs which, in turn, would leave extra minutes up for grabs in the rotation.

If this turns out the be the case, the most likely recipient of the available minutes would be the team’s primary backup point guard, Brad Wanamaker.

This could turn out to be a huge plus for Wanamaker as well, as he’s in the midst of playing for his future in Beantown. Seen as a player on the hot seat heading into the bubble, more action on the hardwood could give the guard more opportunities to prove his worth and, with that, might secure him a new payday with the shamrocks in 2020-21.

Averaging 19.3 minutes this season, the senior-citizen sophomore is putting up 6.6 points, 2.5 assists, and two boards per game on 43 percent shooting from the floor and 37 percent shooting from deep.

Should they limit Kemba Walker’s minutes during the preliminary seeding games, Brad Wanamaker will without a doubt be the beneficiary of extended playing time.
