The Boston Celtics hold three first-round picks in the 2020 NBA Draft. With this in mind, they should strongly consider nabbing a sharpshooting prospect.
Global Pandemic aside — though, admittedly hard to say –, the 2019-20 season has been quite kind to the Boston Celtics and their loyal fanbase.
Prior to the COVID-19 induced hiatus on March 11th, the shamrocks found themselves boasting a record of 43-21, ranking them third in the Eastern Conference, fifth in the entire association, and, subsequently, fifth in the league’s power rankings.
Rolling out a core group of Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, and Marcus Smart, it’s easy to see how the Cs managed to produce at such a high rate.

While we’ve discussed the wonder that has been the Boston Celtics throughout the year, it would be a complete lie if we told you they were a perfectly sound unit. Perhaps one of their rotation’s biggest sore spots has been the scoring production coming off their bench.
Currently ranked 29th in points per game, 27th in 3-point percentage, and 22nd in offensive rating, it’s clear they could use for some improvements to the unit heading into next season.
This is where their picks could come in handy.
In the 2020 draft, there are a boatload of young offensive-minded weapons for the Celtics to choose from, and there are three sharpshooters in specific that the team should have on their radar:
