Courtney Lee, SG

Familiar to some Boston Celtics fans, Courtney Lee suited up for the team from 2012 until January of 2014 where he was shipped to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Jerryd Bayless and  Ryan Gomes.

However, prior to his departure, the shooting guard was actually a solid piece within the C’s rotation, specifically during his short-lived stint under new Head Coach Brad Stevens.

His tenure with the team saw Lee average 7.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and a steal per game on 47 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from deep — upped this number to 44 percent while playing in Stevens’ scheme.

Since then, the vet has made his rounds, playing for four other franchises, and currently finds himself suiting up for the Dallas Mavericks — though it’s likely he will not return to the team for next season.

For his career, the 34-year-old boasts averages of 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and a steal per game on 45 percent shooting from the floor and 39 percent shooting from deep.

Though by no means a standout talent, Courtney Lee has made a name for himself as a solid 3-and-D player who can bring a team-first mentality. Their need for floor spacing within the second unit — rank 27th in the league with a 3-point shooting average of 31.6 percent — coupled with his connection to Kemba Walker (teammates in Charlotte) could make the shooting guard an intriguing low-cost option for the C’s this offseason.
