Heading into the final two-month stretch of the 2019-20 season, here are three teams the Boston Celtics must keep an eye on.

With the All-Star game now in the rearview, the Boston Celtics and, frankly, the rest of the NBA will now set their sights on the months remaining in the 2019-20 regular season and prepare for the league’s second season, otherwise known as the playoffs.

For the sixth consecutive season, it appears the C’s will find themselves in the postseason and the fifth straight year in which they should place as a top-5 seed in the conference standings.

If the regular season were to end today, the third seeded Celtics (38-16) would be squaring off in a home court advantage matchup against the sixth seeded Indiana Pacers (32-23). However, we still have over two months to go before the final buzzer sounds on the season and, thus, the C’s future playoff matchup is by no means decided.

Examining how close the race is from the second seed all the way down to the sixth, it would be fair to assume that throughout this final stretch many teams will begin to rise and fall within the standings. Though Boston has remained at the three seed for a majority of the season, a few foul losses could be the difference between where there are now and dropping significantly lower in the rankings.

Internal and external factors will have major impacts on how they finish out the season. We’ve spent quite a bit of time discussing what internal factors the team should focus on to end strong. Now, we look at external factors, specifically opposing team’s that that the Boston Celtics should keep an eye on from now until April 15th.
