Boston Celtics: 3 things we need to see in the second half of the 2019-20 season

Heading into the All-Star break, the Boston Celtics find themselves in the upper echelon of the Eastern Conference with an impressive record of 37-15. The team’s first half of the 2019-20 campaign has been very good, but here are 3 three things we need to see in the second act to deem their regular season “great.”

Make no mistake about it shamrock fans, the Boston Celtics have been one of the hottest teams so far in 2019-20. With a record of 37-15, the currently place third in the Eastern Conference’s standings and hold the fourth best record in the entire NBA.

While it may not be true mathematically — as the C’s have already played 52 of their 82 game schedule — the NBA’s All-Star weekend is viewed by many as the halfway point in the season. With this break in the schedule, organizations as a whole start to mentally prepare for the push for the postseason.

Despite the C’s having two of their best players participating in the weekend’s main festivity, they will also be gearing up for the season’s final three month stretch.

While many already have penciled in Boston as a playoff team, with a few expecting a deep playoff push, the team still cannot be seen as a perfect unit. We’ve seen many aspects of this squad we love, but there are still a few that need tweaking before the year’s “second season” rolls around.

That’s why we’re here today; to pinpoint a few aspects of the team we wish to see changed come late April.
