1. Washington Wizards

By virtue of rostering sharp-shooting forward Davis Bertans, the Washington Wizards make for the best trading partner for the Boston Celtics. Bertans is the apple of not only Boston’s eye, but the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers are also known suitors for the sweet-shooting big.

He isn’t the only potential target for the C’s currently playing in the nation’s capital. The Wizards possess multiple point guards to that could be of interest to the Celtics second unit.

The first is journeyman Ish Smith. While Smith is mostly a distributor as opposed to a dynamite scorer, he represents an upgrade over Brad Wanamaker and the rookie duo of Tremont Waters and Carsen Edwards.

The other is a familiar face. Isaiah Thomas is in the midst of his best season since he left Boston as an MVP candidate. With his contract being an expiring and his future uncertain in D.C. due to the impending return of John Wall, Thomas could be a return candidate for a C’s team that shows every single time he returns to the TD Garden that Boston is still home.
