Now that the Celtics roller-coaster of a season has finally finished. They must focus on the their most prized possession on the team in Kyrie Irving.

The Celtics lost a must-win game against the Bucks in the conference semis. With a brutal 116-91 loss vs Milwaukee, there are a lot of questions for Boston this upcoming off-season. One of the questions a lot of people will undoubtedly have on their mind is the speculation of where Kyrie Irving will play next year.

There is a lot of rumors on where he will end up playing next season. Teams like the New York Knicks, LA Clippers and now, there are also rumors of him possibly going to Brooklyn. But with the way Kyrie acts sometimes and his the type of personality he has, he could possibly end up wearing a Suns jersey or a Grizzlies jersey in the 2019-2020 season (totally kidding).

But in all honesty, the guy has a much better shot at a championship if he ends up staying in Boston. That’s a major if. I firmly believe there’s only one way he comes back next season and that is if the Celtics make moves. Which has been extremely difficult for Danny Ainge and the front office to do since signing Gordon Hayward.

Looking at the summer, The Celtics have numerous options. They can possibly trade up in the draft. Or they can revamp the team by trying to entice Irving to stay. There’s only one way Irving stays on this team though and I believe that they have to trade for Anthony Davis or do the unthinkable and go out and get a guy like DeMarcus Cousins.

Everyone saw the trade scenarios involving Anthony Davis and the Celtics, but, No one ever really talks about one of the best bigs in the league in DeMarcus Cousins. We all know the type of player he is but we also know how much injuries have derailed his free agency value and trade value.

Here’s what i’m trying to say. If the Celtics want Irving to stay, they must land one of these two bigs. This isn’t just to try and make Irving stay. The Celtics have been a lackluster team when it comes to rebounding and being able to go up against other teams’ big-men. So this is a must for Boston in order to keep Irving around and in order to make themselves better in general.
