The Boston Celtics have themselves a win streak, folks! It wasn’t easy, but the C’s picked up their 27th win of the season Friday night with a win over the Grizzlies in Boston. Kyrie Irving headlined the show but had some help with a few surprise performances.
The Memphis Grizzlies entered tonight’s play losers in 9 of their last 10 games. They came to play against a Celtics squad looking for their 2nd straight victory after a big home win versus the East-leading Toronto Raptors.
Despite falling behind by as much as 16 points early on, the Grizzlies capitalized on a 26-10 run to take a 4 point lead into halftime. Kyrie and company would respond with a whopping 38 point 3rd period to regain control of the contest heading into the final frame. The tempo of the match slowed significantly in the 4th period, but the Celtics found a way to make all of the timely shots to pull away late.

So many people contributed to the victory tonight, but there can only be 3 champions. So without further ado, let’s dive in.
A quick brush up on how the 3 stars award works.
1 Star – The individual that takes home the 1-star award shall be considered the third most impressive player on the court for the Celtics. The unsung hero of the contest, if you will.
2 Stars – Think of the 2-star award winner like the superhero’s sidekick. Not quite Batman, but let’s be real what would Batman be without his Robin, am I right?
3 Stars – The best of the best. The 3-star champion of the night shines brighter than all others and stands alone as the indisputable hero.
