The Boston Celtics need to be running the teams off the court with their play in transition

The Boston Celtics are going to have a lot of different ways to attack teams next season. They will be able to abuse all kind of matchups in their half court sets, and their depth will continually ensure that they have an advantage on the court.

Where their offense should be the most exciting and most deadly, however, is in transition. Keep in mind, defense is always going to be their identity, and defense will keep then in transition a lot.

They have the athletes that will bring all the exciting finishes With Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Kyrie Irving is one of the best finishers in any kind of space the NBA has seen, and they have a big in Al Horford that will hit any transition passes.

If they ever get the slightest advantage in transition, they will blow by you and get a great highlight out of it every single time. The Celtics also know that generating turnovers should be a strength with their defense.

They have all kinds of length, very few weaknesses and intense energy that brings out a lot of mistakes. Especially when Marcus Smart is out there, the Celtics should always be able to get running in transition, and that can be a true back breaker in any game.

The Celtics constantly put pressure on anyone handling the ball, and they know how important it will be to force them into as many mistakes as possible.

Keep in mind, the bench will also have great transition options. Smart is great bringing the ball up the court, and then Terry Rozier is as fearless as anyone, with the athleticism to finish through contact on a regular basis.

The Celtics know that they have the players to do things the hard way on either end, but transition is how they will be able to get the easy buckets that teams will not be able to account for. The Celtics know that leaning on their defense means getting steals, and they know how dominant they an be in transition.

The Celtics also have a starting lineup where ever player is a trusted finisher. The Celtics will not have anyone in transition that can be cheated off of, and they will all be able to finish in different ways.

These threats are all able to finish with ease at the time, but will not be scared to pull up and knock down a wide open three. Any advantage in transition will be crucial for the Celtics, because there is no reason for them to  be throwing away any points that way.

The Celtics will need to develop some chemistry to know what will work best, but there may not be another team in the league with better transition options than the Celtics, and certainly no team that has that while big as strong as them on defense.

The Celtics have embraced versatile athletes for so long, and it has given them one of the most dynamic lineups in the NBA. With such a great physical advantage, where they can be faster and stronger at every single position, no team will be able slow down their transition attack.

The Celtics will get a lot  of scoring in the half court, but the less pressure they put on themselves to hit the more difficult shots, the better off everyone will be. The Celtics should be the best transition team in the NBA next season, and that alone will make them one of the explosive offenses in the NBA.
