Boston Celtics Game 7, You Ready?
By Alex Eddy
Get ready for a game seven showdown between the Celtics and Cavaliers
We are heading back to Boston for the Eastern Conference Finals. What is better than LeBron James vs. the Boston Celtics at TD Garden in a Game 7 of the ECF?
The Celtics are a perfect 10-0 at home in the postseason, but even with that unblemished record, you can’t feel too comfortable as a Celtics’ fan. Remember, this is LeBron James who we are dealing with here. He has been to the last seven NBA Finals.

This series has been insane in terms of each team’s production, execution, and scoring when it comes to playing at home vs. playing on the road. Both teams look completely different depending on the location of the game.
This is particularly evident with the role players. Take George Hill for example. He has scored in double figures in all three home games (13,13, 20), but has only scored 15 total points in his three away games (5,3,7). Then take Marcus Smart. He has 11 turnovers in three games in Cleveland, but only two turnovers in three games in Boston. The numbers tell you that the role players for Cleveland will not show up for Game 7, but we will have to wait and see.
The other interesting piece to Game 7 is Kevin Love. Due to his concussion, he won’t be suiting up for the finale, giving more playing time to role players like Jeff Green and Larry Nance Jr. Even though Cleveland basically won without him in Game 6, this is significant news. This will affect how Brad Stevens utilizes Aron Baynes and Marcus Morris.
It is going to be fun and it is going to be loud. It all comes down to one game. The Celtics have exceeded expectations and no one predicted them to be one game away from the NBA Finals considering the injuries to their stars.
Next: Boston Celtics need a complete effort to win
So even though we didn’t expect them to get this far, since they have, it will be disappointing to see them fall to the Cavaliers, even though we should be extremely pleased no matter what happens.
