Jaylen Browns injury stains what is still the best moment of the season for the Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics had their greatest moment of the season, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks in commanding fashion, with one of their most compelte and balanced performances of the season. Of course, the basketbal gods could not let the Celtics achieve that without another obstacle piling on, as Jaylen Brown suffered a hamstring injury that kept him out of game.

Right now, it is still a bit of a mystery. It does not appear to be serious, and the initial hope is that he will be able to return for game two, but is currently doubtful for game one (Via ESPN).

The Celtics are always going to be patient, even in the playoffs, and the schedule certainly helps make this decisions. While there is just one day between game seven and game one against the Philadelphia 76ers, there are two days off between game one and two.

Especially with a hamstring, that can certainly linger and be re aggravated, getting all that additional rest could make all the difference.

The Celtics also have a lot of things to consider with Brown. As always, the future of this team is the priority. This does not appear to be the kind of injury that could spill over, but if playing him threatens anything for next season, the Celtics are not going to risk it.

They also want to make sure that Brown can recover for the immediate. The Celtics do not want to rush Brown back, and have him in and out of the lineup, unable to be his most effective because he is dealing with a lingering injury.

The more time off Brown gets, the better he is going to be when he returns, and the longer he will be able to maintain that improved play when he is in the lineup.

Next: Boston Celtics finally get balance in game 7

The Celtics know they need Brown to beat the 76ers, but they also know they need an effective Brown. If it is only just one game, it should not be too much for the Celtics to overcome. That being said, if Brown misses more time than that, or  he is not able to be effective enough when he returns, then the Celtics may not have enough left to defeat a 76ers team that might be the favorite in the East right now.
