The Boston Celtics let their guard down in Games 3 and 4
The Boston Celtics let their guard down and are on the verge of losing control of this series
Alright, well I warned them last week not to get too confident, but the Boston Celtics allowed the Milwaukee Bucks to battle their way back into the series and tie it at 2-2. Now, I’m not putting all the blame on the Celtics, but after two impressive games at home and some great play from several players, the change in location really seemed to get to them, especially in Game 3.
Although it was surprising, it was still very interesting to watch and analyze some key breakdowns in the Celtics play.
First of all, Game 3 was a desperation shot from the Bucks. Down 2-0, Milwaukee needed to give everything they had in order to stay relevant and actually pose a threat in the series. Thanks to a valiant effort from Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton as well as very loyal and hungry (for a win) fans, the Bucks dismantled Boston in the third game.

Looking at Game 4, the first half was a somewhat repeat of what occurred in Game 3, however, this time Boston started to recall their play in the first two games. Lead by Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, the Celtics battled their way back into a thriller for the fourth game.
Unfortunately, Boston couldn’t get the job done and dropped both games in Milwaukee. With the series tied 2-2 heading back to the TD Garden, Boston will need to bounce back.
The Bucks really turned the series around in their favor, and a lot of the momentum is back on their side. Prior to this series, a lot of critics were counting out this young Celtics team due to the absence of their stars in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward.
But after Games 1 and 2, they quieted down. Well, now they’re yelling again and it’s up to Boston whether or not they want to shut them back up.
And the Celtics have the potential to do that. If Terry Rozier and Al Horford can play like the way they did in Game 1, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Boston win the series in the BMO Harris Bradley Center come Game 6.

It’s too early to tell, but all we know is that this 1st round battle is heating up and it’s going to keep getting heated as both teams fight to win two more games.
