At the very least, the Boston Celtics should split their final six games

The Boston Celtics have posted great numbers and great season in general. What started out as a disaster with the devastating injury to Gordon Hayward has turned into a productive and impressive year of basketball for the young squad.

The Celtics are only six games away from the conclusion of the 2018 regular season and their young, yet experienced group should be able to manage at least three wins from those games.

The final six teams that the Celtics will face in the regular season are the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards and Brooklyn Nets. Out of those six teams, the Celtics should be able to scrape by wins against the Bulls, Hawks and Nets. Those teams aren’t up to much debate, however, the other three squads could go either way, and here’s why:

More from Hardwood Houdini

The Celtics square off against the Bucks tomorrow night in the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker and Eric Bledsoe will do anything to secure their spot in the Playoffs as they have yet to clinch a spot.

With a young and aggressive team in the Bucks fighting for their lives, it’s going to be very tough for the Celtics to take home the win.

For the Raptors, they’re the best team in the East. DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry have consistently played tremendously and are the main reason for the Toronto’s success this season.

For Washington, Bradley Beal and John Wall are another guard tandem that are not to be forgotten. The Wizards are most likely locked in at the 6th seed, although this team never ceases to quit and will surely make the Celtics run up and down the court.

In the end, the Celtics have the potential to win out the rest of the schedule. Let’s not forget that Boston is currently on a six-game winning streak, so it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise for the Celtics to turn that streak into a 12-game winning streak.

Next: Should we be talking about the number one seed?

Boston has given their fans exactly the kind of season they deserve and it’s been players like Kyrie Irving, Terry Rozier, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum who have been huge factors in their team’s success.
