The Boston Celtics continue their remarkable streak against the Warriors
The Boston Celtics had to battle back from double digit deficits against the Thunder and the Hornets, and they had to do the same exact thing against the Warriors to preserve their winning streak.
The Celtics trailed by as many as 17 points against the reigning champions. In the third quarter, the Celtics used a 19-0 run to take a two-point lead against the Warriors (the game was tied after three quarters).
This run was sparked by Jaylen Brown, who lost his best friend less than 24 hours before the game and wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to go Thursday night. He finished the game with 22 points and seven rebounds.
This streak makes you feel like the Celtics are going to win every game they come across. Despite being down to the Warriors, a run felt imminent. And it did. Granted, the Warriors had an off-night offensively, but the Celtics played sensational defense, especially down the stretch.

Holding the Warriors to 88 points is no small feat. 19, 21, and 20 were the point totals allowed by the Celtics in the final three frames.
A maskless Kyrie Irving hit clutch free throws down the stretch. He really did not like that mask.
Whenever the Celtics have been down in games during this winning streak, it never seemed as though the Celtics were truly out of it. Even if it was by double digits, the Celtics were going to find a way to claw their way back into the game. Thursday’s game against the Warriors was the ultimate test to see if they could come back and win. The team fed off of the crowd and they were able to win their 14th straight game. When you are on a winning streak like the Celtics have been, no task seems out of reach.
No one would have imagined the Celtics winning 14 straight games without Gordon Hayward, and even with Hayward, it would still seem ridiculous.

The Celtics have won in a multitude of ways this season. But, one thing is for sure. If the Celtics are down in a game, never count them out. A run will come. This team is built on heart, fearlessness, and determination. They truly never give up.
