Marcus Morris is going to be re evaluated after missing another week of games for the Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics have been hit with injuries multiple times after just three games, and they got some more bad news about Marcus Morris. We were hoping he was just going to miss the first week, but now we know that he is going to be out at least another week, with an evaluation coming next Monday (Via Celtics Blog).

Hopefully, Marcus Smart will be able to return by Tuesday, but the Celtics have to continue to wait before they get to full strength. The Celtics are expecting a lot from the youngest players on the team, and that goes beyond just Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Until Morris comes back, Stevens will need the deepest players on the bench to be ready to perform the way Shane Larkin and Jabari Bird did in their first win.

More from Hardwood Houdini

Morris is one of the only secondary players that the Celtics can really trust this season, and they cannot know what their final product will look like until he is back in the lineup.

This does Give Brad Stevens that freedom to give every player on this roster an opportunity to be the one to step up, but that will not turn around this slow start.

Morris is going to be a part of the top unit, and until he is there, the team is going to be transitioning. They have  along ways to go before they settle with the players we have seen so far, and getting Morris back will force another adjustment.

We will see how long it takes for Morris to get back, and we will see how long it takes for the Celtics to finally settle and look comfortable on the court. All we know is that the longer Morris is out, the slower the process will be.

The Celtics have an important stretch coming up after a disappointing first three games, and at least now they know they have to prepare to be without Morris for at least another three games.
