There’s Time to Fix the Offensive Struggles

The Celtics had a very hard time hitting open shots against Cleveland, but that wasn’t the biggest issue offensively. Brian Robb gives a stat from last night that is quite scary to look at.

A 69.1 rating is worse than bad, and it will truly be a problem if the Celtics can’t score without Thomas on the floor. However, Al Horford had a nice quote about how the team can still fix this problem.

Horford has been through a lot in his NBA career, so I would take stock in this comment. It is better that Boston has time to figure out their offensive issues before the playoffs. Think about last year when Avery Bradley went down. The Celtics had to depend solely on Thomas, and they had no time to figure it out before they were knocked out by Atlanta. Hopefully the Celtics will figure things out before they play the Cavs again.
