Player Grades
Isaiah Thomas A
37 PTS 4 REBS 7 ASTS
Thomas made up for his ineffienct game against the Kings with a massive 37 point and 7 assist outing. He made bucket after bucket all night including clutch layups when they mattered most. 13-15 from the line another indicator of a fantastic night for the captain.
Avery Bradley B+
20 PTS 9 REBS 2 ASTS
Great night from Bradley, he hit some important shots when Boston was down early and continued on from there. Once again led the team in rebounds with 9 and was great on the defensive end.
Jae Crowder C+
10 PTS 4 REBS 3 ASTS
Crowder had an okay night against the Sixers. Shot 50 percent from the field and was another player to hit a key triple in the last quarter to help the Celtics take the lead. He will have his hands full along with Bradley when they take on James Harden on Monday.
Amir Johnson C-
6 PTS 2 REBS 1 ASTS
A quiet night for the big man who only played the 15 minutes. He shot an effective 3/4 from the field, but needs to grab more than just two rebounds for a centre on a team that continues to struggle rebounding the ball.
Al Horford A+
11 PTS 4 REBS 3 ASTS
He did not follow up his season high from last night on the scoreboard, but Horford still had a solid night. Hit a big 3 In the fourth quarter and made clutch free throws to close the night off for his team.
Jonas Jerebko C+
5 PTS 6 REBS 1 ASTS
Although he may end up on the internet for all the wrong reasons after being crossed over by Dario Saric, Jerebko made some key baskets in the final quarter to continue his strong season.
6 PTS 0 REBS 1 ASTS
Another quiet night for Olynyk who needs to shoot the ball more. He went 2/2 from the field but also failed to get any rebounds and as a big man he needs to provide more of that on a team that has three main bigs struggling to rebound the ball.
Marcus Smart D
7 PTS 3 REBS 3 ASTS
Not a huge not again for Smart who went 0/4 from 3, but still had some key moments in the game, including a big rebound and two clutch free throws to help seal the win.
Jaylen Brown B
4 PTS 2 REBS 1 ASTS
Much better night for the rookie who had a key block and dunk in the final quarter. A good bounce back game after two poor showings.
Terry Rozier, Tyler Zeller and Gerald Green all made they way onto the court but failed to have any significant impact on the game.
Next: Its Time for the Boston Celtics to Show More Improvement
The Celtics face the Rockets Monday night in a very important game in this young season and one of their true tests against a playoff team since Horford and Crowder have returned from injury.
