The past few years have been full of Boston Celtics players leaving for other teams. And for a few players, it has worked out. For some other players, all that has happened is that they look extremely weird/not right in their new jerseys.

For example, Jeff Green in a Grizz jersey, or Paul Pierce “The Truth” in a Wiz jersey. But even those jerseys weren’t worse than what I saw on Tuesday night, when Kendrick Perkins put on the hideous colors of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Perkins has had a wild run…He was brought on to OKC, but never really fitted in. Westbrook and KD were constantly giving him bad looks. Then he became a free agent. Perk had options with rejoining Doc Rivers in LA and maybe joining Paul Pierce in Washington….But instead he signed with the enemy, LeBron James. Similar to how Ray Ray left us for our then-rivals, the Miami Heat(P.S. I will NEVER forgive him for that).
And this was a mutual transaction according the Perk who talked withMass Live’s Jay King –
"Now we’re getting the chance to come together, even though it’s for a short time, to try to contend and win a title. It’s been a blessing since I’ve been here. They welcomed me with open arms, my family and I. So it’s been good. He didn’t really have to (recruit me). He sent me a text but I was kind of leaning toward this way from the jump anyway. So he didn’t really have to say too much but what’s up, big fella? I was like, you know what’s up."
Perk is just…wrong man. I don’t see the Cavs winning this year, maybe next year, but they literally have NO playoff experience in Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. No way they beat anyone in the West! Perk will help them on the defensive end in the playoffs, doing his normal stuff in flagrant fouls and arguing with refs.
I won’t feel too bad if Perk and the Cavs lose. I mean I’m voting for the Golden State Warriors to win it all anyways. Of course, that changes if our Celtics make the playoffs!
Either way there are some sad, sad times in the world of former Celtics. You talk to me in 2010 and say the KG would be back in Minnesota, Paul Pierce would be playing for the Wizards with John Wall, and Kendrick Perkins was sportin’ red and yellow with LeBron James…I would tell you WTF!
