NBA All Star Vote Update

The NBA released the third installment of the NBA All Star vote today. As it currently stands Rajon Rondo (929,781 votes) and Kevin Garnett (850,687 votes) would start along side Lebron James (1,194,091 votes), Dwayne Wade (1,167,649 votes) and Dwight Howard (1,205,159 votes) representing the Eastern Conference.

Over in the Western Conference, the starting lineup is on pace to feature Kobe Bryant (overall top vote), Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and Yao Ming. Should Yao Ming win the vote, Commissioner David Stern would make the selection to replace Ming since Yao Ming is out for the season with an injury.

Garnett and Rondo both hold slim leads over Amare Stoudemire and Derrick Rose and have a few games left to state their case. Rondo certainly delivered an All Star worthy performance last night dropping a triple double on the Western Conference leading San Antonio Spurs. For what it’s worth, they both have my vote.

With just over 2 weeks left, the race to the finish is a close one for Rondo and Garnett and they could use your support. Paper voting ends on January 17th and wireless/online voting will run until January 23rd.
