Ranking the Top 10 players in the Celtics-Heat first round series
By Ben Grunert
No. 7: Tyler Herro
Tyler Herro has never made an All-Star game, but he has averaged at least 20 points per game in three straight seasons. However, Herro only played in 42 games this season due to a bothersome foot injury.
The talented combo guard took on bigger playmaking responsibilities this season, averaging a career-high 4.5 assists. He also scored a career-high 20.8 points per contest.
In Miami’s play-in victory over Chicago, Herro lit up the Bulls with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. He led the Heat with 17 shot attempts and a team-high plus-minus of +32.
In three games against the Celtics this season, Herro averaged 23.7 points on a scorching 41.2% clip from downtown. Without Butler, he will likely lead the Heat in scoring during their series with Boston.
