The 2024 Summer League has kicked off and it has been action-packed, filled with new incoming faces from the draft, "rising sophomores" and older guys who are trying to fill in an empty spot on a roster.

There's a lot to like with this event and who doesn't want to watch more basketball?

The Boston Celtics are looking to build their roster in any way possible, looking for pieces that will be of value to them in the long run. In addition, monitor the end of their roster — hence, Jaden Springer who was present for all of the festivities taking place following their epic title victory. It's going to be year No. 4 for Springer and he explains why he's partaking in this league to being with.

“They just wanted to see my play,” Springer said (h/t MassLive). “Limited minutes throughout the season. We had a great team. Just coming in here, it’s a great chance to play, get run, get reps. I feel like that’s the biggest thing: They just wanted me to come out here and hoop.”

Springer was unable to establish a role in the rotation but he looks to change that this offseason and continues to build upon his work. Besides, extra reps will never hurt anyone in the NBA — that'll only raise a player's potential.

His work ethic will be on full-display and Coach Mazzulla along with the rest of the staff will pay close attention.

How would Jaden Springer make an impact if he becomes a part of the rotation next season?

He stands at six-foot-four, weighing in at 202 pounds. The three-point shot (specifically in the corner) will be an important skill to work on. The C's spacing has been crucial to them winning games and if you've watched any film — those guys like to shoot it beyond the arc.

Springer's ability to make consistent threes will make it hard for the defender to help on drives to the paint or double the big man in the post.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native could also give the backcourt of Jrue Holiday and Derrick White a breather — pairing with Payton Pritchard off the pine.

Imagine a lineup of Payton Pritchard, Jaden Springer, Sam Hauser, Xavier Tillman, and Luke Kornet (just for fun). That would be a pretty good back lineup if you take away the heart of the roster in this instance.

Joe Mazzulla has a lot of decisions to make but Springer is more than capable of helping the team out next season.
