Former Boston Celtics fan favorite Isaiah Thomas believes that the winner of the Minnesota Timberwolves-Denver Nuggets series -- which we've learned from Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals will be the Wolves -- will win the NBA Finals.

Not the Celtics. Oof.

"Whoever win this series is going to win the whole thing," Thomas tweeted as Game 7 was still happening.

Boston is currently the only team with minus-odds to win it all, with oddsmakers believing the Cs will have no problem handling the Indiana Pacers sans Kristaps Porzingis. Notably, Minnesota has the next-best odds, followed by the Dallas Mavericks.

One would get rich betting on the Indiana Pacers hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy considering their astronomical odds to even escape the Eastern Conference Finals with a victory.

Boston Celtics will have a major narrative with a Timberwolves or Mavericks win

If the Celtics win the Bob Cousy Trophy, the 2024 Finals will have a juicy narrative either way.

Should it be the Timberwolves that escape the West, the Anthony Edwards-Jayson Tatum debate will be front and center; even if the most interesting chess match of the series would be the potential Rudy Gobert-Porzingis matchup and whether or not Minnesota's length could slow down the Jays.

Things might be even juicier if the Mavericks win, though, considering Kyrie Irving would then be standing in the way of Banner 18. What better demon would their be to exorcise than the man who arguably slowed down the progress of Tatum and Brown during a nightmarish 2018-19 season filled with locker room strife and drama?

Adam Silver and Co. nearly have a marketable Finals. They just have to hope the Pacers don't find a way into it, since the Celtics and either opponent out west makes for a narrative victory for the Association.
