Trade to avoid: Blockbuster trade

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are a proven playoff duo. They are still searching for their first championship, but four trips to the conference finals and one NBA Finals appearance speak to their ability to win in any situation. The Celtics added Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday this offseason. Now, they have a Unicorn big man and two of the best perimeter defenders in the league.

Boston has won 34 of their first 44 games this season and is an elite group on both ends. They are second in defensive rating and third on offense. There may be some worry about KP’s health, Horford’s age, or the team’s depth, but the Celtics are title contenders.

Brad Stevens and company need to add a role player or two before the deadline, but messing with their top six would be a massive mistake. No matter who becomes available, this group looks like a title team. There are plenty of formidable foes, but Boston needs to see if this roster can win it all.

The Boston Celtics are exploring the market with less than two weeks until the trade deadline. Can they find another piece to upgrade their roster? Stay tuned to find out.
