Predicting all 82 Celtics games to determine their 2024-25 season record

23. December 6 vs. Milwaukee Bucks
These two teams have split the season series up to this point, but back at TD Garden, the Celtics won’t want to lose. And they definitely won’t want to lose back-to-back games.
Prediction: Win | Record: 18-5
24. December 7 vs. Memphis Grizzlies
Welcome home, Marcus Smart. If he’s healthy, this will be the first time he gets to take on the Celtics in a game. And with Ja Morant back (and theoretically healthy), Memphis may earn a win here.
Prediction: Loss | Record: 18-6
25. December 10 or 11 - NBA Cup Quarterfinal
The opponent of this game is unknown, but the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup are scheduled for December 10 and 11. Boston won’t have come this far just to lose in the quarterfinal (again).
Prediction: Win | Record: 19-6
26. December 14 - NBA Cup Semifinal
Unfortunately, with lots of other teams viewing the NBA Cup as their chance to win a title of some sort, the Celtics could end up falling short early.
Prediction: Loss | Record: 19-7
27. December 19 vs. Chicago Bulls
After beating them in the NBA Cup, the Celtics won’t want to slow down, especially after losing in the semifinal of the tournament. They’ll take their anger out on the Bulls.
Prediction: Win | Record: 20-7
