Predicting all 82 Celtics games to determine their 2024-25 season record
By Jack Simone
18. November 25 vs. LA Clippers
With Paul George gone, the LA Clippers are going to look very different this upcoming season. If Kawhi Leonard plays, this will be a great game. If not, it won’t be. But Boston should win regardless.
Prediction: Win | Record: 15-3
19. November 29 @ Chicago Bulls (NBA Cup)
This summer was a rough one for the Chicago Bulls. They lost DeMar DeRozan, traded Alex Caruso, and failed to move Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic. Boston should take down this squad fairly easily, going 4-0 in the NBA Cup.
Prediction: Win | Record: 16-3
20. December 1 @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Boston beat the Cavs at home earlier in the year, but they won’t go down without a fight. Cleveland should bounce back on their home court, ending a lengthy Celtics winning streak.
Prediction: Loss | Record: 16-4
21. December 2 vs. Miami Heat
Whenever the Celtics take on the Miami Heat, there are fireworks. From Jimmy Butler to Bam Adebayo to Tyler Herro, they’ll be ready for Boston, but Boston will be just as ready. And they don’t like to lose twice in a row.
Prediction: Win | Record: 17-4
22. December 4 vs. Detroit Pistons
The Pistons got very close to beating the Celtics on their own home floor last season. It took a massive comeback for Boston to earn a victory. If the Pistons fight just as hard as last season, the Celtics may not be quite as lucky.
Prediction: Loss | Record: 17-5
