2. Sam Hauser

As the list goes on, the likelihood of the player actually being able to crack 20 PPG dwindles, but Sam Hauser certainly has the offensive game to get to the mark in the right situation.

From the time he stepped into the league, it was clear that Hauser was an elite three-point shooter. He’s been a perfect role player in Boston, capable of moving off the ball, picking his spots, and draining threes off the catch.

Obviously, it seems highly unlikely that Hauser can be much more than an amazing catch-and-shoot guy, but sometimes, that’s all a player needs to be to reach the 20-point mark (or very close to it).

JJ Redick almost got there with the Philadelphia 76ers. At his best, he averaged 18.1 points during the 2018-19 season. Klay Thompson, though he did a bit more than just catch and shoot, scored 22.3 points per game during the 2016-17 season.

Hauser is more than capable of making three or four threes per game if given the right number of shots. It probably wouldn’t even have to be on a bottom-feeding team, either.

If he was playing for a team where he could start and play over 30 minutes per game, Hauser could drain the threes he needed, plus get a few easy buckets of cuts per game. Add in some free throws, and he may be able to push the 20-point mark.

Again, it’s more unlikely than Pritchard, but it’s not impossible.
