Sam Hauser - B
The Celtics bench had a concerning start to the year. It seemed like no one was able to knock down a shot or keep up the momentum the starters created. That has since changed, and Sam Hauser is a good reason for it.
Hauser was seen as a bench shooter who was a one dimensional player, and that just isn’t the case anymore. Yes, he shoots 41.9% on 5.3 three point attempts per game, but he has also become an underrated defender.
If Hauser was just a shooter, he wouldn’t see minutes in the playoffs. His development as a defender has surely made coach Joe Mazzulla confident enough to expand the rotation when needed in the playoffs.
