Derrick White - A

Ever since the Celtics traded for Derrick White from the San Antonio Spurs in 2022, he just continues to get better. His hot start to the year even had him building an All-Star campaign before it finally settled down.

White is averaging 15.8 points per game while shooting 40.2% from three, which just feels unfair given what he does on defense. Like his guard counterpart, Holiday, White is extremely versatile on defense. He’s got great close-out speed, contests every shot, and has the most blocks out of any guard in the entire NBA with 62.

Another thing that White shares with Holiday are those 4.8 assists per game. Both of these guards are defensively elite, can knock down shots, and create for others, and that’s what makes them one of the best guard duos in the league.
