1 Way every Celtics big can fill in while Kristaps Porzingis is injured

4. Neemias Queta - Copmosure
Last season, Neemias Queta joined the Celtics after spending two years with the Sacramento Kings. From the jump, the potential he had was clear. He can jump out of the gym and block shots with the best of them.
However, Queta’s talent needs to be controlled. He fouls too much, has a tendency to get caught out of position, and his tough around the rim needs a bit of work as well. All of those things can be worked on.
With a year of training with Boston’s people and working under the Celtics staff, Queta should be looking to improve his composure this year. If he can stay home on defense, foul less, and nail the easy shots around the basket, he’ll be in a great spot to help the Celtics while Kristaps Porzingis is out (and beyond).
5. Anton Watson - Everything and nothing
The Celtics are likely not in the market to give a rookie significant playing time, especially not one on a two-way contract. However, Anton Watson’s skill set encapsulates everything Boston should want their big men to do.
Watson proved in Summer League that he is comfortable letting it fly from a distance, and his defense held up very well. He already seems capable of guarding multiple positions on that end.
So, while everything Watson brings to the table would help Boston while Porzingis is out, the “nothing” comes from the fact that he probably won’t see the floor much. He just needs to take this year to develop his game.
