4. Keshon Gilbert, Iowa State

Keshon Gilbert began his college career with UNLV, but after two seasons there, he transferred to Iowa State for the 2023-24 season. He’ll be wrapping up his four years with the Cyclones this season.

At 6-foot-4 and 200 lbs, Gilbert is the perfect size to be a combo guard at the NBA level, and he has the skills to play that role, too. He’s an adept defender and can do a bit of everything on offense.

This past year, Gilbert appeared in 37 games and played 30.9 minutes per contest. He averaged 13.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists while shooting 43.8% from the field and 34.% from beyond the arc.

5. Jaeden Zackery, Clemson

In his sophomore season at Boston College, Jaeden Zackery was one of eight players to earn a vote for ACC Defensive Player of the Year. The 6-foot-2 guard will be playing for Clemson this year after a freshman year with Chipola in Florida and three with the Eagles.

Zackery is on the older side, but his defensive talent and impressive three-point shooting make him an ideal target for Boston to snag as a project player.

Last year with Boston College, Zackery appeared in 36 games, playing 33.8 minutes per contest. He averaged 11.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists while shooting 48.4% from the floor and 40.5% from distance.
