1. Efficiency

The Celtics are second in offensive rating behind the Pacers and third on defense with the Cavaliers topping them in the East. The hallmark of a title contender is being top ten in both categories, but nobody is close to Boston in net rating. The Celtics 9.5 is 2.3 better than the second-ranked Thunder and 3.6 ahead of the next team in the Eastern Conference.

It is not just net rating. Boston ranks first in player impact estimate (PIE) and simple rating system (SRS). Their net rating is tied for the 15th highest in NBA history and is the most since the Warriors in 2017 with Kevin Durant. Net rating is a strong predictor of playoff success, and the Celtics are at the top of the heap by a wide margin.

No team wants to face the Boston Celtics in the playoffs. They have been to the conference finals five times in the last seven years and improved their roster this offseason. The Celtics have multiple advantages in every matchup, but can they put it all together and bring home a championship?

The Celtics will be a team to watch throughout the postseason. They have the talent and everything necessary to win it all. Stay tuned to see if Boston makes it a reality.
