6. Jaden Springer - Offense

Shooting would have been a fine answer here, but rather than pigeon-holing Jaden Springer’s area of improvement into just that problem, let’s keep it a bit broader.

Springer has already proven to be an NBA-caliber defender, keeping up with some of the best offensive players in the league. But if he wants to play real minutes in Boston, he’ll need to prove himself as a shooter, playmaker, and off-ball mover.

7. Luke Kornet - Perimeter defense

While he may not be the flashiest player in the world, Luke Kornet is constantly solid on both ends of the floor. But if he can defend perimeter players at a higher level, he will take his game to another level.

By adding improved perimeter defense to his locker, Kornet would be able to play more minutes for Boston and could contribute to winning on a larger scale.

8. Neemias Queta - Composure

Similar to the goal that should be set for Walsh, Neemias Queta simply needs to stay in the right position more often. At his best, Quetta is an elite shot-blocker and exhilarating lob threat, but he can’t get overzealous.

Too often does Queta find himself out of position, fouling out of games, and committing offensive fouls. If he can eliminate those issues from his game, the Celtics will have another great big man on their hands.
