The Sixers over the years have been disappointing, but this offseason Darryl Morey did a great job reloading, headlined by the addition of Paul George to form a big three with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
They also added Cody Martin, Eric Gordon, Andre Drummond, and Jared McCain, the 16th overall pick in the draft, and re-signed Kelly Oubre Jr.
The key question mark for the 76ers will be health, but the top-end talent is there to challenge anybody in the NBA.
Depth will likely be the biggest issue, as recent history has shown that putting all your chips into three stars doesn’t guarantee title contention, exemplified by the Boston Celtics winning with two stars.
