7 teams that pose the biggest threat to a Boston Celtics repeat in 2024-25

Minnesota Timberwolves
With the ascension of 22-year-old superstar Anthony Edwards, the Minnesota Timberwolves could be title threats for years to come.
Four-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert leads the defense in the interior and is joined in the front court by fellow seven-footer Karl-Anthony Towns, a big-bodied stretch four.
They also have a good mix of veterans and young players, with 17-year-vet Mike Conley running the point, and eighth overall pick Rob Dillingham as well as 23-year-old elite three-and-D wing Jaden McDaniels.
The Timberwolves lost in the Conference Finals last season to the Dallas Mavericks, but they showed their unorthodox front court can work and they have the potential to be title threats to the Boston Celtics for years to come.
