The Denver Nuggets were the previous defending champions, and still have the same primary contributors in Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon.
After losing Bruce Brown last offseason and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope this offseason, they will need some bench players to step up to reach the same level, but having whom many consider the best player in the NBA in Jokic will always make them a threat to win the title.
A key piece to the team next season will be Christian Braun, the likely replacement for KCP in the starting lineup at shooting guard.
If the Nuggets can get some young players to step up, they can easily reach the Finals again and take down the Boston Celtics on the back of three-time MVP and Finals MVP Nikola Jokic.
