7 teams that pose the biggest threat to a Boston Celtics repeat in 2024-25

Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks, who took down the previously mentioned Thunder and lost to the Boston Celtics in five games in the Finals, added four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson, making them a threat once again to win it all.
Klay is 34 years old and on the downswing of his career, but he can still shoot it well and has the size and length to still play solid defense on the perimeter.
The Mavs also added Naji Marshall and Quentin Grimes, solid three-and-D players, and of course still have stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving leading the team, supported by a solid big man rotation of P.J. Washington, Dereck Lively, and Daniel Gafford.
The Celtics still have a better top six, but the Mavs adding more depth and also being more experienced could mean much more difficulty for the Cs in a potential Finals rematch.
