The Boston Celtics have been one of the better teams in the Association for the last three seasons, as they reached the Eastern Conference Finals and the NBA Finals in their last two postseason appearances. This season’s Celtics team has been the best team in the NBA and many smart basketball minds have penciled them in for the NBA Finals.

And wisely so, as this Celtics team checks every box. They’ve obviously got superstars in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum and they have championship experience with Jrue Holiday, who is averaging 12.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and is having the best shooting season of his career.

The Celtics also added Kristaps Porzingis before the season, who has been a much-needed ingredient for the team (although it remains to be seen whether he’ll be able to stay heathy during the postseason). And they’ve got glue guys like Derrick White.

The Celts could find it challenging to bolster their roster in the offseason, as the new Collective Bargaining Agreement will surely spell doom for them. The Celtics will face second tax apron restrictions this summer and will be forced to make moves around the margins, in order to once again add more depth.
