Gordon Hayward

This reunion between Hayward, General Manager Brad Stevens, and the Celtics would be nothing short of bittersweet. Hayward’s career took a noticeable dive after his gruesome injury in his first game with the Celtics in 2017. In his last playoff run with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Hayward failed to score a single basket throughout 48 minutes of action and said he was frustrated with his role.

The 34-year-old free agent could find his way back to his former coach and team, and may be able to carve out a decent role off a bench that could use some more shot-creating. With his decline, team’s will surely only bite on a veteran’s minimum deal, so it's likely he'll land with a contending team if he remains in the league.
