5 Summer League players who can contribute to the Boston Celtics roster in 2024-25
By Seth Quinn
Anton Watson
Anton Watson was the pick just before Bronny James for the Boston Celtics, which, given the attention to the pick, made him overlooked on draft night.
Watson could play with added motivation, something that would make his Al Horford comparison even more fitting.
Watson is a great defender but a work-in-progress on offense, but with the encouragement from Brad Stevens, it will be interesting to see how involved he is on that end.
The 54th pick out of Gonzaga is 23 years old like Scheierman, so he also has potential to contribute immediately.
With one open roster spot currently, Watson will be one of multiple players on the Summer League roster competing for that spot, which could be filled soon or later in the regular season.
